"Hi again," Fawnpaw mewed to Duskpaw and Owlpaw.
"Hi!!" they both answered happily, then glared at eachother.
"What's up with you two?" she asked, "I've seen you arguing and fighting all the time ever since we became apprentices four sunrises ago." She crouched down to eat her fresh-kill.
The two apprentices and stood silently, then sat down.
"Moongaze's going to take me out to hunt birds later!" Owlpaw mewed excitedly.
"Pah!" Duskpaw spat quickly, "Mudwhisker is going to show me how to fight foxes!"
"Wow!" Fawnpaw exclaimed, "Fight foxes! That's amazing!"
"Yup!" Duspaw replied, feeling very pleased.
Owlpaw stared at his paws, looking defeated. He wanted to impress Fawnpaw.
Windclaw felt a pang of envy as he watched Duskpaw, how easily he managed to impress Fawnpaw!
"Owlpaw!" Moongaze called from the distance.
"Coming..." Owlpaw answered sulkily, padding slowly towards his mentor, his tail drooping.
"What's wrong with him?" Fawnpaw whispered.
"I have no idea," Duskpaw replied, his eyes gleaming with truimph.
