A Prophecy (Part 2)

Lionstar looked at his paws, wondering what to do. It's been only two nights after when Swiftstep told him about the prophecy. 'StarClan, what's all this about exiling a warrior that has been loyal for many moons?' he wailed silently, 'Surely he wouldn't do something that would kill the whole Clan!' The LeafClan leader looked up at Silverpelt, his head swirling with questions and uncertainty. He looked up to see Flamepelt, his tail on Fawnpaw's shoulder. Lionstar spun around as he heard a yowl behind him. "Not even one mouse tail!" he heard Mousepaw muttering.
"Be patient," her mentor Tigerstripe replied, "It's leaf-bare so there won't be much prey."
'Swiftstep was right!' Lionstar thought, then he glanced back at Flamepelt, who was going out to hunt. 'He is a loyal and brave warrior,' Lionstar told himself firmly, 'I know he would never do something that will hurt the Clan.' He decided to forget about this until StarClan sends something clearer, so he glanced around the camp to see if any cat is having trouble. Lionstar noticed Fawnpaw sitting near the apprentices den, grooming herself with a delicate paw. Owlpaw approached the she-cat quietly, but then Duskpaw suddenly appeared, pushing Owlpaw away. Duskpaw trotted over to Fawnpaw and began talking to her, their pelts so close that they are almost brushing. Owlpaw hissed, then sat on the other side of Fawnpaw, his tail beind her. The two male apprentices began arguing about something. Fawnpaw stood up, and padded over to the fresh-kill pile. Lionstar let out a mrrow of amusement, and carried on watching. Windclaw was also watching the pretty apprentice fetching a mouse, and the two apprentices still arguing. Strangely, Lionstar could feel a pang of envy, so he turned away and went inside his den.
